timkel
I don't know anything about these. Rare? Thought it might interest some members. http://www.waynedriskillminiatures.com/miniature-firearms/full-size-tear-gas-billy-club-gun/?portfolioID=
ron_brock
This is a Federal gas Billie. They shoot a short range cloud of gas or can be used to thump your attacker. Early ones were chambered to take a shotgun shell sized round but later modified to take a unique round so that a shell could not be chambered. Federal made these for a long number of years, probably into the 60s, if not later. You disassemble but unscrewing, insert your round and assemble, pull the cocking piece back and pull the trigger or slide the guard over to act as a safety. ron_brock
There are multiple variations and models as well. Some have a small hole like the one in the link that are meant for a little longer range. Others have a large hole for greater dispersion up close. I have also seen a larger 10gage version but Federal tried to get all these back and replace with upgrades for fear someone would be dumb enough to try a real round in them. Good thing YouTube was not around back then. Ron
