fartsalot
I broke down my Reising for the first time to clean it,,, I only put the hammer in backwards the first time but I figured that out LOL. From now on I find the process simple, but I was looking at the firing pin and the mod that can be done. The pin has a spring that pushes it back,,, so do I push the pin in against the spring to where the base of the pin is flush with the bolt and remove the metal from the pin base to where the other end is flush? 1950Plymouth
I shortened one of my firing pins to the same length as the bolt. I may yet take a little more off. You’ll be removing material from the large end. Take off material slowly. You’ll need to check the relief cut for proper travel when the retainer pin is installed, since that cut can vary from pin to pin. You may need to remove material from the big end side of the relief cut to ensure that you have enough pin head sticking out to be struck with sufficient force.
