Hello everyone.

Let me start by saying what an awesome group of Thompson enthusiasts here on this forum. I have been following you guys on here for years but never had anything tangible to add. I'm 47 years old and been a Tommy Gun fan as long as I can remember. I am also a 07FFL 02SOT. Im privileged enough to work on and restore lots of cool stuff. About a year ago I purchased a M1928A1 parts kit. Ser.# 486774. I was originally trying to get a Richardson receiver and ended up getting one from Philadelphia Ordnance. After receiving my 80% receiver from Bob, I learned where to find all the blueprints. Ive obtained a lot of information from you guys and wanted to share something Ive had a heck of a time finding. That is "The Armored Force School Fort Knox M1928A1 Training manual. I found this online yesterday and took the time to put all the pages together for someone to print on their computer. If anyone is interested, I could put it in a PDF file perhaps or just email the files to whoever would want them. Its my way of contributing to you guys and giving something hard to find to guys that may want it.

Thanks again for a great forum!

Todd

Yes sir, Im currently working on the CAD/CAM programming to finish the receiver in our CNC machine. I was actually considering possibly making these in the future since Mr. Richardson wont be making any more and I see a few areas for improvement that would more accurately represent the original drawings.

Can you tell me how to post the manual for download? I can put it in PDF format and either start a new post here or in the manuals section.

Todd,

If you would like to send me the file at the e-mail address below, and it's not too large, I will upload it to our server, and post a link. I scanned one of my my Ft. Knox manuals years ago, but the file size is huge, and I also haven't wanted the firearm manual CD folks to pick it up as their own.

BTW, welcome to the board!

Hello David, Ive not had any luck converting the pages to a PDF file. I will email the folder with the 59 pages. Thanks and let me know if I can help in any other way.

Todd,

Thanks for sending me the link, I have downloaded, converted and saved it in PDF format, 5MB, and returned it to you via email.

Now looking forward to getting home and opening the package awaiting me with an original Fort Knox manual in it.

Stay safe

Richard

Down loaded and printed. Thank you for sharing. Thanks David for your helping making this available. Thank you Todd for your willingness to share this very rare information. I for one would have never seen this manual. Welcome to the board.

You're welcome wv1928. I know having a lot of manuals in pdf makes it easy for the CD guys to download and sell stuff that we share for free. I wish there were more manuals available on here. The Fort Knox one is nearly impossible to find in paper form.
