Magazine Disassembly

I have purchased three original M-50 20rd magazines in like new condition. They all appear to have a slight coating of grease inside them around the feed lips.

Is all there is to disassembling these guys, removing the bottom and releasing the spring?

Is there any trick to removing the bottom that I should know about?

No trick, just like a Thompson. Insert a small screwdriver into the slot in the retaining tab and pry it up just enough to slide the base plate off then remove the spring and follower. The spring will try to remove itself so be prepared for that; if it does not come out with "enthusiasm" it may be time for replacement. Otherwise, clean and re-assemble in reverse order. You may need to push the locking tab back into position, sometimes the spring back, others they don't
