I love eforms. I just did a trade involving some MP40s. I filed the form 3 at 3:40 PM central time yesterday and it was approved at 9:03 AM this morning. I cannot believe that there are some dealers that still use paper form 3s.

That sucks.  I just did one a week or so ago, and it was a day and a half.  And I screwed up on the first submission, and had to call in!

I called today on one submitted approx 7/1/17.   Still waiting on a background check........same answer over 2 months ago.  In the meantime about 6 weeks ago another was approved, again after a substantial wait in the background check dept.   Clearly no form collusion in the system.    I don't think John Brennan waited that long for his security clearance and look how that turned out........hmm, on second thought maybe they've stretched out the times intentionally?     LOL

if i had one submitted 13.5 months ago id consider resubmitting it and sending another $200 in

your at nearly 2x the normal wait time...what do you have to lose...your new one might beat that one from 7/1/17

Ah, you are under the assumption there is a "normal" processing time.  In all the years I've been doing this, normal is not a term I'd ever use describing the whole transfer process.  One thing I did learn years ago, the only thing slower than a transfer........was getting your money back after cancelling one.  The other issue is that it's two guns, but fortunately I already have others so time is not an issue in this case, however if they continue to operate this slowly through the future I'll have to make "estate" plans for loose ends like this?

all of mine have been exactly on time w/ NFA tracker...almost down to the week...often 1-2 weeks ahead of the curve...only 2 goofy ones were the lost stamp and the sterling where the lady i dont think was getting the info from the seller (some miscommunication or worse)....those 2 were 8 months vs 7

13 months id be very upset.....id send in  a new one probably at 9 months...just lose the $200....wouldnt try to get it back

lucky im on my last one for ever right now

I had an SBR form in on 02/17.  Cancelled it three weeks ago and resubmitted.  My credit card was credited $200 a few days ago.

Time for me at least are improving. Form 4 transfer mailed 3-8 (usps MO) Received new Form 4  7-19 . Ironically I called a few days earlier (I have another in system) and they couldn't find this one? I knew I had to do something and thank goodness I checked my mail.

I called on my 2/21 this week the women said its pending but wait times are averaging 7 months so you have about another 4 weeks wait.

Update: my 2/21 stamp came in today 8/31...6 months and about a week including snail mail.
