Adg105200
I figured I'd have a little fun with photographing a Savage 1861 Navy which has been, to the best of our knowledge, in the family probably shortly after they were made and probably used in the Civil War which makes it all the more interesting to me. I'll be carefully taking it apart and checking for what serial numbers are still present. There is no military cartouche on the grip. It is a bit rough from poor storage, but I want to preserve it as best as possible. What is the best way to apply Renaissance wax after I clean and oil the internals? Thanks for any input.
