Taiwanese L Drums GPC

Recommended Posts

Brian had those drums made in Taiwan {NOT CHINA AT ALL} from a Crosby drum he had years ago I think the number he had to get made was over 1,000, the first ones had been well done with the marking. after some issue later brought in second batch no marking. A few other out fits bought them Sarco Numrich and another drum magazine guy. They bought a few hundred total.

When the deal was going down years ago he called me and asked also about a 100 round drum also. told him they are out there and pretty popular. but they would have to work 100% be marked right and be a low cost under $500. I know he never tried to do it because it was another 1,000 drum order. And he asked do you think I can sell a 1000 fairly quick.

I said probably a few hundred quickly but not a 1,000. History marches on.

Just think how much info this forum provides.

I bought one of the drums (thanks to the posting by 1921A above).

It was $125. plus$10.00 shipping, works great. These are the Taiwan-made drums, no Thompson name or logo.

The Kahr drums have a Thompson bullet logo on them.

I had previously bought one of the new 100-round drums from Numrich, but I had to return it, just wouldn't do a 100 round dump without a stoppage.

I have both the C and L drums and have shot multiple drum dumps with both. I have not had a stoppage with either and mine run beautifully. I used Winchester White box ammunition.

I got a couple of the L drums, way back when they were 90 bucks. My buddy did to. ( Taiwan) He had brought his over to have me grease his, still in the normal cardboard box. Both were pre greased, found that a bit odd, all run super. One of these days I'm going to pull out my Stanley drum, see what happens. I've never shot with it. It has a very small dent in it, I need to do a dry run with it, see if the rails run smooth.
