john
Hey all! Last year was the first TCA shoot I (and my family) have attended. I understand it was quite different than Tracies shoot and was wondering if I can get an estimate of ammo needed. My family (of 4) will all be shooting. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif Assuming we all do OK, what's the max amount of ammo we will need? I have 1200 rounds of Win. White Box stashed for the event, but am thinking I might need some more for the after-shoot fun..... http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/huh.gif Any ideas from those of you who have shot this course before? TIA for your best guesses! BTW, we couldn't get into the Granville inn but managed to book at the Buxton Inn right across the street. Looks nice and supposed to have it's own supply of ghosts, too! john and family
First Sergeant
Me too !! No idea on how much to bring as this will be my first. Just me shooting and I'll probably bring 2 of the FA's. Any suggestions? thanks..Chuck
full auto 45
100 rounds are needed for the paper shoot per person. As much as 500 rounds can be used at the steel target shoot, that is if you last long enough. I'm taking about 1000 rounds for me.
giantpanda4
Mike's right about 100 rounds per paper shooter - unless you get misfeeds, etc, and you should have 50% more budgeted. The pepper poppers need ammo proportional to how well you do - RKR won it 2 years ago, I remember he said he needed about 300 rounds??? Plus any fun shooting - L drum dumps burn it up quick. For 2 shooters, I am taking 2000 (only slightly more than 2 minutes worth, remember http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif ) rounds, and may have extra if I can't get my wife to shoot!
