Folks,

Looking to use an M14 flip-up buttplate in a project but not thinking it will fit my stock so dont want to buy it first. Anyone got one handy that can post back some dimensions?

Thanks in advance. Tim.

Plastic stock version, IDK if the wood stocks are different.  The plastic version buttplate has a lip around the outside that slips over a step molded into the end of the stock.  It seems unlikely that the wood stock would be cut the same way

1.87" W x 4.97" H

As always YMMY

YMMY? Was it tasty?

J/K, sorry about that, my smart-a55 mode kicked in before I could stop it. 🤫.

The wood stocks Ive seen have that step around the edge as well.

Thanks very much for the detailed measurements and reply. 👍

Have a good Thanksgiving, Tim.

USGI wood stock flip up butt plate has the same dimensions.  The wood stock itself is slightly larger and inletted for the butt plate.
