Ron A
I just got a British Metal box which has clips for the xx mags. The pad or material is missing from the bottom as well as the top - what was the material? made of what? was it some type of felt?
LIONHART
Ha! I've had several of those over the years. As far as the Material is concerned, I always thought it was a felt. One looked to have cork.
colt21a
felt type material, and later some had a replacement dark cork,or maybe it just changed color from storage for years...........only had one, years ago,{traded it off}they did nothing for me,so really never bothered to mess with them, but i am sure now everything and anything is popular for the tommee's.......... anyhow if you have one, thats nice.........now you need the brit marked tommy and all the goodies to go with it......including all the correct marked twenty round mags to fill it.....................wink!! have a nice one.....ron
JimFromFL
Interesting... all the ones I saw never had any material on the inside. The Moor
The two that I have examined had felt in them. The felt appeared the exact same as that in the Bren metal magazine box. Get your hands on one of the Bren boxes and you will see the exact felt that was used in the Thompson metal mag box.
