Murray,

And you didn't even have to get your wife a part in the "King Kong" re-remake. Everytime you illustrate the Colt's available to collectors outisde the U.S., I am overcome with despair and frustration. It is gratifying to see these examples wind up in the hands of an enthusiast, rather than turned into manhole covers, but it sure does bring out the envy in an American.

Do you ever shoot any of the "Irish Swords"?

Murray, Murray, Murray, well at least we can call you a board buddy, Thompson enthusiast extrordinaire and friend! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif If you and your collection, especially the latest arrival, are not the perfect argument to change the laws regarding MG importation and new manufacture for civilian purchase and use in the U.S., I don't know what is. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif Best Regards, Walter

P.S. I mean, who wouldn't enjoy having such fine dinner guests. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif Your wife truly is a treasure and has very good taste.

Walter 63,

What you say is really true and to the point.

I do have a wife and companion collector who goes with me all over the world and really believes in maintaining miltary history and not destroying it like so many governments of today seem to want to do.

A friend from Mesa Arizona sent me a video which we received today of my wife and I shooting Thompsons down at St Davids wash in Benson Arizona, last year.

Unfortunately, it is in NTSC American TV system and not PAL D which the rest of the world uses and thus we can only listen to the Thompsons and not see them. Not really inspiring .... but the memories were great.....and that my friends,.. is all we will have left , memories, if we don't steer the mob away from the left, but to the right.

PS. we gave those milk jugs just hell down at St Davids wash!!!

And yes Jim, your wife is correct! Jan did help me chose the Birthday present.... but.. she suggested a "Colt C Drum" or was it a parts kit tin with bits? or maybe the two shot mags she found at the gunshow in Flagstaff AZ in July.... I just can't seem to remember now.

By the way, we took no prisoners! at St Davids Wash!!!
