Thanks. And do I really need to pay the $10 to get the county to copy the case???? Why is it when "I" post something, I am required to give my blood type and mother's maiden name???
Hardrede

Submitting your mother's maiden name and blood type would be nebulous info compared to your detailed post regarding your education, work history, political affiliations, and high school sports achievements.

You're welcome Hawkeye! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif It takes a big man to admit when he might be wrong and to change. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif I hope not to be a big man too often. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif Regards, Walter

I guess I am confused why you are confused.

Me too..

If you had started the story with ..

" A man died and his son tried to sell one of his registered NFA weapons that hadn't been tranferred properly, so the ATF raided his house and confiscated more weapons that were on Form 4's and C&R's but not bothering to check on the status of these weapons seized them and then not allowing the family to effect a legal tranfer had them destroyed."

I would have not needed the extra info.

It was the Reader's Digest version that was confusing...and your starting the sentence with "BATFE raided a home. Guy died..."

QUOTE
BATFE raided a home near here. Guy died, had over 10 LEGAL C&R MG's. One of his son's tried to sell one at the local gunstore. Form 4's were in order, but gun store calls ATF. ALL mg's confiscated and melted!

The way you presented it sounded more like "Urban Legend" ..hence the skeptical tone you detected...

I'll be checking out your link now.. on the NFA story..

Thanks.  The link is on Danbrews www.titleii.com.  It is an excellent resource for Form's 1-10 if necessary.  They are in PDF "fill-in-the-blank" format.  It is an unhappy and common occurence that this happens.

I could go on, but it isn't worth it.  I guess you have to pay the website to be taken seriously, huh Ron???

Wink-wink, and FWIW, the "legalese" is the result of trying to follow the rules, Distinguished Military Graduate in ROTC-Criminal Justice, and a desire to keep this industry alive by being judicious in our actions and comments.

I really love going over the Skyway and looking down on the Haz-Mat too!!  Gives it that New Jersey look! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/tongue.gif

So anyhow, are those stupid Thompson kits ok or not???? I want one but you never really answered the question.  A simple yes would have been sufficient a long time ago! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif
