I need a front band locking spring for my National Postal Meter M1 if anyone has a USGI one with a good catch on it.  The catch on mine is worn down, and as a result when I shoot it the front band starts to come off.  If you anyone has an extra they can part with PM me.

Thanks,

Robert

so remove it from the stock, take a small file and deepen the locking area then try to rebend it  then reassembly. only time i see this happen is stock was sanded down at refinishing and this goes too deep into the wood,

OK, I'll give it a try.  I worked on it with a jewelers' file a little bit the other day.  There's not much of a catch left due to wear.

Beware of them on ebay! I got a couple a few yrs ago [ before I knew much about them ] and I had to file it down a little to make it catch. If I can find the extra one you can have it. GK

Would you believe I just ordered one on eBay, which I rarely use, before I saw your post.  $10, in the USA.  It looked good, supposedly NOS USGI, but I'll guess we'll see.

Thanks,

Robert
