I noticed a Big Z on several things I looked at. Nope Z, don't worry, I won't out do you. Just spent my wad yesterday on a M2 carbine. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Sorry guys, should have looked at who was bidding before offering the heads up. My humble apologies and good luck.
Dan

Hey I was just kidding, everything is fair game in the world of ebaY..... Heads up is what this board is all about... I've picked up some great stuff because of people on the board posting it..... I don't even mind it when other board members ask me to back off on stuff they really want.... Band of Brothers right? http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/woot.gif

I'm taking paper work over today to get it signed and sent off tomorrow.

I wish it would come back before the end of the month. If it does....I'll be impressed and sent the ATF flowers.

Full Auto, not to take this off topic too much more but....

What kind of M2 carbine did you get? I just bought one, got to fondle and shoot it at my SOT's recently. Man that's a sweet little rifle, with a surprising amount of upward recoil when shooting. My checks been cashed a month and it's not even pending yet. Got a Plainfield factory M2. I'm pretty sure this gun will always go with me to the range, unlike some of the other MG's.

If you're interested I've got a location for USGI ammo, shoot me an note.

Man I feel like a kid in a candy store! I just got back from signing the papers on that M2. It's not a over stamp. Marked M2. And Saginaw on the back of the receiver. I have a couple of pix of it, I'll try to post on the Class III page about it.

Now back to the story....the case is a Police Style case with the drum on the right and stock in the middle. Could be a copy.

OK so what's an M2 worth you two just bought em... I have a guy here that will sell me one for 5K or maybe a bit less... but it is not military so I didn't think it was worth the money... was I wrong?

Un-freakin'-believeable. It must be a real FBI case that Hoover kept his tutu in http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif

I always thought J. Edgar was more of a dinner gown kinda guy..... http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/woot.gif

I suppose it is worth it to some people.  The MGC's never really did anything for me.

I prefer the real thing...

Chris,

The bidding is high because the bidders are speculating on the case, not the MGC gun. They usually can be found on Ebay in the $300.00-$400.00 dollar range.

The case looks original in the photographs, that's what drove the price up, not the gun.

I have to respectfully dissagree. I don't think you see many MGC's going for $3-400.00. If you have one I'll give you my standing offer of 350.00. $11K for a WH 28.

I'm not at all surprised that toy went for over 500.00 with the case.

If your word is good they come up BIN for that price every once in a while... I'll keep an eye out for you...
