On ebay where else? is this 1928 nose piece: http://cgi.ebay.com/...item=2216141054 The serial number location is what caught my eye, who manufactured this sadly departed Thompson?

Tell me this thing will not sell... Please..... No extractor, not even a complete port... wtf could anyone want with this??? I assume this is off one of the IMA kits as that is the way both of mine were cut.... As for the serial number is that the "hidden" number to confuZe the s/n grinders...

You can't sell from the hidden number who the manufacturer was. It was obviously either Savage or Auto-Ordnance. They didn't preface the number with the Savage S or AO in that location. Guessing by the serial number range it was probably a Savage made receiver.
