crazy_bob
Hi does any one know the weight of the co-axial m240?. Does any one have picture or specifications of the trigger or firing mechanism on a co-axial m240. I know it is meant to be mounted on top of the tank so do they fire it remotely using a solenoid or a servo tube or what? Thanks for the help! The loaders M-240 mounted on the top of the turret sits in a cradle that has spade grips and a butterfly trigger assy......It cannot be remotely fired. The actual COAX gun mounted in the turret has a trigger, and a sort of "sawn off" pistol grip.......it is fired by a solenoid that is attached to the mounting, and simply depresses the weapons existing trigger.... The above is how it was when I was in (late 80's-early 90's)......maybe the newer/current M1A1's and M1A2's have a different set-up?????
