yes hollywood should do it,but then again a movie on the man and his gun...........the price's will rise even more..........everybody will want one,wink!!

And the movie "JFK" resulted in the increased sales/value of Mannlicher Carcano carbines......Well, not really.

Everybody join colt21a with a unison "wink" on the Gen. Thompson movie! Yes, we could watch prices double as soon as folks file out of the theaters! Hollywood is a powerful influence, n'est pas?

actually in 1964 they wanted the same "dick special.that ruby used on oswald...........the original was for sale at auction years ago,along with charles wittman the texas tower sniper,many of you probably don't know{true fact} bill helmer was hit by a ricochet...........when he was there attending a class in texas at the time............

glad it was only that,as bill was planning the book then released in 1969................a little bit of trivia for thompson fan's....................long life bill!!!and yes many carcano's have been sold when the movie jfk was released..........not just the big amount people thought........

I think Ruby's revolver used for the Oswald hit sold at auction for $250,000......... That is real inside baseball on Helmer, Ron.

bill has been a good friend for a long time,he got me started in the thompson thing............

over drinks at tommy gun's garage one night,we swapped tale's of the past,{when we did the book together>}" The Quotable Al Capone"
that was bill's.......... story:he did remember that he picked up the spent round.but could not remember what happened to it over all those year's............
