While browsing through evilbay, I've seen various claims of mainufacter of TSMG parts.
Who all made parts, and what kinds? What types of markings did they have?

Here's some of the claims I've heard.

Square [S] - Stevens
Round (S) - Savage
AOC - Auto Ordnance

on stocks
M - Mallard Decoy company, also heard Marlin

Personally, I own a WH. I've been culling through my parts. It appears that about 1/2 the original parts in the lower where a mix of AOC, [S], and (S). In fact, my WH is a commemorative, and the gold trigger is a [S]. The rest are unmarked, and I speculate they're WH repros.

sorry, it seemed like a good topic. or at least an alternative for the endless "how much is my worth"

You're right, I don't have the book, and I should get it. But what's wrong with real TSMG owners talking about the parts in their guns?

I thought this was a great post. The kind that used to go on this board when people were looking for information. People used to answer these and not just reffer you to a book. IMHO that is what this board should be about. (no offense Phil! just remeber a time when these questions were answered...now it seems more and more bucks are being passed...when this would be great, fresh information for the board) Beechnut...I would gladly answer this...but I would not want to mis inform you due to lack of knowledge myself. biggrin.gif

Good luck,
Damon
