They may not have made five cell 30 round pouches... But I do believe they retrofitted existing 20 rounders to accept 30 rounders.... As evidenced by the pics below. The added material is oil cloth and is high quality stitching which leads me to believe this is not some one time homemade item.

that pouch does'nt look to be a spr pouch though, more of just a gerenal purpose 30rd pouch. but to get 6 XXX's with it, yeah that's ok for 70 bucks. tongue.gif

AT THE FRONT makes the best and most durable replicas of most all WWII US field gear available anywhere!!. Including the 6 XXX mag (Capt. Miller "Saving Private Ryan") pouch and the 5 cell XX mag pouch and the L drum pouch.
AND it is made right here in the good ol' USA. Not south of the border like WWII Iimpressions and Bayonet Inc. and it will NOT turn orange after fading!!
Most of these other WWII re-enacting supply companys buy wholesale from At The Front and mark it up and re-sell it or they get it from S&M WHOLESALE and re-sell it as thier own.

"KIRKMAN MFG" is At The Fronts relica maker mark. No such company existed in WWII
S&M marks thier items with "S&M WHOLESALE"

Didn't see anything on those sights other than a general issue dump pouch for M-3 mags that would hold anything Thompson related. Not long ago I think I saw an 8 cell 30rd mag pouch that was a la Private Ryan. I understand that the 5 cell 20 rd mag pouches will hold a 30 with the flap up and was probablythe way most were carried. I won't go that route and look forward to a 5 or 8 cell 30rd. Someone will make one someday and I will get a couple, till then they go in my back pocket- ho hum. blasphemy.
