The guy in the back looks to be holding a Garand.

I got another picture but I can't host it so I can't post it! (whoa that was deep)
Now, that's how one should be armed against an "Insurrection/Guerilla War".
Arthur, I don't think the Haitians are turning back American boat people!

Maybe the US is supplying these people with old surplus firearms.

I thought you were describing clinton...`death squad`,`accepting bribes`,`fraud and embezzlement`...that`s got bill`n`hillary written all over it...for a minute there I figured you just forgot about the `intern in the closet`...my bad..out.

I have to agree with your assessment of some of our misguided alliances. And it shouldn't be a "Left v. Right" issue. Sometimes we've made it that way, and we've suffered as a result.
By the way, there's a good book out that you might enjoy, "Charlie Wilson's War," about former Rep. Wilson's single-handed campaign to get U.S. aid to the Mujahadeen (SP?) during the Soviet occupation. I never made it to Afghanastan, but I knew Wilson and several other players described in book, and it seems to be a even-handed portrayal. One reason I mention this is because it describes another example of a well-intentioned effort with future unintended consequences.

That is of course, original factory duct tape...
Very rare, only seen outside of this country.
