awp101
Hello all! I couldn't find this question in a search or in the FAQs, so here goes... The other day I found a semi-auto M1A1 marked Auto-Ordnance West Hurley NY. I saw no signs of a marking for Kahr, but it had the "bullet" logo on the top of the receiver. When I go back to look, where should I look to figure out if it's a Kahr or not? Where should I look? Many thanks!
Dylan
The Kahr guns are not marked Kahr anywhere, they are marked Auto Ordnance. The way to tell the difference is the location of manufacture is Worcester, Mass.
DC Chris
Dylan is correct. You probably saw one of these: West Hurley M1 Semi Autos
full auto 45
Karh guns also have a "K" or "KA" before or after the serial number, like "K1234" or "KA1234". And they say Worcester, Ma not West Hurley, Ny.
awp101
Aha! I see the difference. I appreciate the info, especially th sn list. I hope to get back this weekend to look it over again. The guy is asking $700 for it, 4-30rd stick mags and a "violin" case". Off to do more research! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
