Don't even know if they can be used on M1A1s but what have you heard/experienced with Blackjack buffers?
What about those made by PK. (Diamond K Precision Machine and Gunsmithing)?
SRT looked interesting but they don't make em for M1s.

I don't know about your particular question, but I have bought '28 buffers from PK, and they work great!
