TN.Frank Posted April 2, 2004 Report Share Posted April 2, 2004 I got the VHS tapes for the series a couple years ago for Christmas. I watched all the tapes except for the last one. Now that I've got the '27a1 I'm waiting for the parts I ordered(horizontal forearm,M1 style rear sight, '28 type cocking knob, '21 style paddle saftey and some other stuff) to come in, once I get the '27 fixed up I'm going to break out the tapes again and watch them from start to finish. It'll be nice having a WWII type Thompson to hold while I watch the series. I know some people will think I'm a nut because of that but it adds a "feel" to the movie to have something like they're using to hold onto while I watch. It definitely adds to watching a good movie. Also my M1A1 carbine when watching 'Objective Burma' and 'Farewell to the King'. I know of 'Saints and Soldiers' coming out soon. Not a series, but it looks like a good WW2 movie.
