I had some free time on my hands today and between speeders, rewrote this Weird Al tune... I had no idea what this song was until after I heard Al's version; some of your kids may know the tune wink.gif

(I Bought It On) eBay!

A song after the Backstreet Boys "I want it that way",
(with apologies to Weird Al).......

Yeah........
A used extractor
A rare disconnector
A Cutts
All Grade 'A'
I bought on eBay

My safe is full of
This crap
It shows up
In bubble wrap most everyday
What I bought on eBay

Tell me why (I need another butt stock)
Tell me why (I need another Blish lock)
Tell me why (I bid on G. Golls old toupee)
They had it on eBay

I'll buy your mag catch
Just check my feedback
"A++!" they all say
They love me on eBay

Gonna buy a broken old bamboo cane
That was owned by Oscar Payne
From some guy I never met in Norway
Found him on eBay

I am the kind who is liable to snipe you
With 2 seconds left to go
Whoa!
Got PayPal or VISA
Whatever'll please ya
As long as I've got the dough...

I'll buy your sear springs
Sell me your bolts please
I'll buy (and buy and buy....)
Hey!
I'm highest bidder!

Stuff keeps arriving in the box
Most of it old G.I. suplus
Hey!
This is such a great day
I bought it on eBay

Wanna buy (that rocker pivot new old stock)
Wanna buy (that old '28 transport box)
Wanna buy (a '21 trigger frame)
They have it on eBay

Wanna buy that 'I love Eickoff' poster
And John T. Thompson's toaster
Don't know why this kind of stuff I horde away
Bought it on eBay-y-y-y-y-yyyyyyy..............

Sorry rolleyes.gif

Chris:

That was the second best thing to ever come from a Backstreet boys song. The first being Al's original. Sadly, both are probably closer to truth than fiction.

Chris and Nick, maybe we could get Weird Al into a studio, with band and a few Thompsons on a separate track, to create our own official board jingle. biggrin.gif rolleyes.gif laugh.gif Regards, Walter

Chris:

Now if you would only re-write the lyrics to "If I Had a Million Dollars" by the Barenaked Ladies. Lot of fun to be had with that song.

You'll have to settle for this ditty. (Sorry, Paul!)

"My Thompson is a pretty nice gun
And boy she has a lot to say.

My Thompson is a pretty nice gun
And she changes from day to day.

My wife says sell her and to buy a new car
But I'd have to get a belly full of wine.

My Thompson is a pretty nice gun
Someday day I'm gonna buy one more, oh yeah
Someday I'm gonna buy one more....

The End.

If you heard it through Weird Al, that's ok. I didn't catch that on the original post. And I still say "Ebay SUCKS the big one, Ebay suck! Ebay sucks! Ebay sucks the big one!" ( to the Buffett tune " math sucks!") A scuba diving buddy of mine bought a macro tube off of Evil Bay.It had a hairline fracture and it flooded his camera and even thought the guy says it worked fine, he wouldn't even refund his $$$! Man was he pissed off!
A buddy of mine has a 300 acre farm there. Rolling hills & valleys. Great backstops! I run down there when the Mrs. will let me out of sight. It's only 215 miles from door to door. I may have to ride the Harley there!
If you get a report of a guy on a Harley with a machinegun on his back, it's me. laugh.gif
