Local dealer called me tonite. Guy he knows has a barrel for a Thompson he wants to get rid of. Brand new, at least appears in every way as new. Inside is spotless, outside threads look as never threaded on a gun, no marks or wear. Finned barrel with 30 fins, all round like on Colt's. Overall length is 13". It has a M1 style site on the front. Is this a barrel for which one? I seem to think, after I get it home, that it's for a A-5. I'll supply a photo later.

Mike:
You're probably right about it being a WH semi-auto barrel - to many fins for a 28. If memory serves 28 barrels were 26 or 27 fins and 10.5 inches long.

Mike,
My WH A-5 Pistol had a 13.5 inch barrel on it with M1 type sight.
