Recently saw an M1A1 cross-bolt stock that had what looked like a light imprint of the letters "USAA" - all in caps. The imprint was on the left side in front of the cross-bolt area. The letters are about 4 mm tall.
I did not see (or I missed) the significance of these letters in "American Thunder." If I read correctly, "AA" is Augusta Arsenal, "RIA" is Rock Island Arsenal, etc.
What/where is "USAA"?
TIA

Must be either U.S. Army Air Corps, or else my insurance company. |
ROTFLMAO!!!

That was the first thing I thought of!! Of course I sell insurance so I have to quote against their cheap ass prices...

Phil,
Don't you mean you need a government subsidy to buy expensive American ammo, to protect an American Investment and piece of History??

A bit more information on the stock, if it helps.
The "USAA" letters are inside a rectagular box.
The stock also has the capital letter "P" inside a square box on the underside of the neck.
The stock is on an AO made M1A1 that may be a Lend Lease gun (has "U.S. PROPERTY" stamping and band on front of fore end).
Thanks to all.

I'm gonna venture a guess that its the San Antonio Arsenal. I've seen some Garands and a Trench gun or two with 'RSAA' and 'SAA' in a rectangular box. HTH

Thank you, gentlemen,
Gun is definitely a rebuild. The frame is non-match M1 Savage while receiver is AOC with A1 hand stamped on. Barrel, receiver, frame all parked.
I'll pass along the information to the owner.
