Has anyone ever seen this type of front attachment for a sling on a '28 Thompson? These photos are from the 1943 film 'Sahara' and the man next to Bogy wielding the tommygun at the Nazi's is Bruce Bennett. Never seen one of these but would be interested in finding one if they are out there.
Interests:Thompsons of course. All Manufactures and Models.

Doug Richardson did produce some Sling Barrel Bands. One would need to remove the Front Sight however to install. The Barrel could be grooved to .630" diameter x 7/16" wide, and thus the Band could rotate in position. A nifty idea. Not sure if Doug has any left though.

Mike, Dammon at Tommygunners.com has a barrel sling set -up for sale: http://www.tommygunn...ories/index.htm Also, When Numrich was offering the Auto Ordinance line, they had a custom barrel sling that looked exactly like the one int your photo. I've seen 1 or 2 through the years on Ebay. Best, Zamm
