I have seen some threads on here before where certain AO manuals went on ebay for $300-500. Not sure if they were similar models/years or not. Anyone know the value of these two? They are both original, and in pretty decent shape for books that have been laying around for 60 years.

The handbooks that went for $300 + were rarer handbooks for Colt produced guns.
Looking at what you have I would say about $20 each based on recent evilbay auction prices, sorry.

these have sold for many years at $100.00 to $200.00 each.if anybody has them at $20.00 each please ship to me....

the market is ripe for paper product.because most thompson guys don't sell them......they need manual's with the gun's it's part of the package.

if you decide to want $20.00 each......i will take them..good gun show material:short side story......

i once displayed a "helmer book"at a show.......some desert fox came to the table said.oh!!thompson book!! do you buy thompson's?? bought a illinois state police thompson for $3,500.00 cased set...........sold it years later for $7,500.00..............current dealer had resale on it for $15,000.00.

all from a tommybook on display...wink!! true story....

take care,ron

Michael,
Your observations mirror mine as far as value and price are concerned. eBay may not be the best market for the Edition of 1940 Handbook because the usual price is around 20 bucks. I have several that I have obtained under 15 bucks - including shipping.
