It is complete except for the receiver and is in excellent condition. It has a no cross-bolt stock, all milled parts, winged rear sight, pin style pivot and safety, and unused, complete "Bright" bolt. This is the configuration that I requested. The frame and pistol grip are unused, and show no evidence of a bolt ever having slid back and forth. The barrel and front grip show some normal use as does the butt stock assembly, but no wear or abuse. The bore is perfect. All of the other small parts supplied appear unused, with perfect original finish.
It is all Savage made, with no AOC parts that I can find. The frame has a GEG marking, and has a low six figure serial on the underside of the trigger guard. There is just enough of a nub of the receiver left where it attaches to the barrel and grip mount to see two GEG stamps, an early RLB ordnance district inspector's mark, and a small crossed cannon ordnance acceptance stamp. There is no heavy preservative grease on the parts at all.
