Just received a WWII M1 TSMG parts kit from Omega Weapons Systems, (520) 889-8895. $450, plus $12 FedEx shipping.

It is complete except for the receiver and is in excellent condition. It has a no cross-bolt stock, all milled parts, winged rear sight, pin style pivot and safety, and unused, complete "Bright" bolt. This is the configuration that I requested. The frame and pistol grip are unused, and show no evidence of a bolt ever having slid back and forth. The barrel and front grip show some normal use as does the butt stock assembly, but no wear or abuse. The bore is perfect. All of the other small parts supplied appear unused, with perfect original finish.

It is all Savage made, with no AOC parts that I can find. The frame has a GEG marking, and has a low six figure serial on the underside of the trigger guard. There is just enough of a nub of the receiver left where it attaches to the barrel and grip mount to see two GEG stamps, an early RLB ordnance district inspector's mark, and a small crossed cannon ordnance acceptance stamp. There is no heavy preservative grease on the parts at all.

I ordered an M1A1 kit from Don a couple of days ago. Do you have any pics of your kit? I am still in Iraq (US Contractor ph34r.gif ) and will not see my kit for a while. I am looking to rebuild a pre-86 M1A1 that I am buying.

P.S.: The thick felt washer was even in the bottom of the butt trap, along with another long rectangular piece of white felt that was folded up and placed under the felt washer. I have seen this done in the past when the British desired to keep their smaller Enfield oil bottles in the trap. Did these kits come from England? There is evidence of thin black paint here and there as well.
