In checking my WH I see I can't just swap forearms because the grip rail is wider than the original GI/AO/Colt. Is there a modified forearm available or should I route out one of my surplus ones? I'd like to be able to swap them back and forth from the vertical to the horizontal without a lotta hassle..
Can't look like Sgt Saunders with a vertical grip now can I?? And I'm too fat to look like Bogie in Sahara....Oh.. speaking of Sahara...I noticed that the 1928's in it had a "sling ring" between the comp and the forearm ...was this a movie thing or was it a real GI sling attachment? The Brits did the sling mounted on the side of the vertical foregrip, but this was a sliding(?) ring with a sling loop attached.. Enquiring minds wanna know..

I would contact Dan (deerslayer) about Thompson wood questions.
As for the "sling ring", my catalog from Doug Richardson shows that he sells a 21/28 barrel that has groove cut for the "sling ring." He also sells this ring, so now you know where to get one.
