Note also the drain slots on the WH drum. The Colt drums did not have drain slots on either the C or L drums.

It's pretty difficult to confuse the two drums. Unless someone was buying a WH drum deliberately mis identified as a Colt C drum through a Shotgun News ad, or another non photo periodical, no one is likely to be caught in this type of sting.
