I would be interested in knowing the dates of manufature of two Thompson M1 S.M.G.s. The numbers are:

27XXX
and
75XXX

Hi,

The M1 series Thompsons were introduced in 1942. Based on the five digit serial numbers you provided, my guess would be probably in 1942 or possibly 1943 near the beginning of production. According to Frank Ianammico's book, the records don't exist to determine the exact date by serial number.
