Sorry to report that my shop/garage is a total loss from a fire last night. Along with it all my wood working tools, and the jigs and patterns that I was using to make stocks. Also lots of fine walnut lumber, a couple vehicals, the list could go on.... We were not at home when it started and the fire did not make it into the house so we are thankful for what we still have. There will be a delay in my ability to take any stock work orders on until things can get rebuilt.
Merry Christmas everyone and God bless you.

Wow...

I am really sorry to hear that and its even worse dealing with something of this magnitude during the holidays. It sounds like no one was hurt and this is why we have insurance.

God Bless and sorry to hear the bad news. Look at it this way, my friend, it could of been a heck of a lot worse.

Chris.

Anybody have a M1A1 parts kit for sale? I need a frame and front barrel parts for fitting wood to. Ditto for a 1928 parts kit. Who has the best ones?

Thanks for any advice on aquiring replacement parts for my stock fitting future.

Damn Dan, I received your email about the fire, and what can I say? Thank God that nobody was injured. Hopefully you have insurance to take care of all this. Just to think, just a few days before Christmas! Why does this kind of shit always have to happen to the good folks!?

Dan,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Looking at the picture I see how it could have been a lot worse. I was planning on making an order after the holidays. Put me in your accounts receivable column when you get back to business.

Dan,

Words can't express! All I can say is you are in our thoughts and prayers. If there's an upside to this, it's that it could have been a lot worse. Hang in there buddy, and may the coming year be a bright one for you and yours.

Best,

Dan,

Such a terrible thing to occur at anytime, especially during the holidays. Glad that no one was injured and you didn't lose the entire house. You'll bounce back and with the support of the members here, hopefully very quickly. Good luck to you and be thankful of what you still have.

Dan,

Wow! My sincerest sympaythy for you and your family. I am glad that no one was hurt and that your family still has a house to come home to. The rest can be replaced. Puts quite a damper on the holliday spirit I am sure but, I hope you can find a way to make the most of it. Please let me know if there is anyting I can do to help. Again...I am happy that a real tragedy was avoided.

Best wished for you and yours.

Sorry to here of the loss. Fires can be a devastating thing. But the most important thing is no one was hurt and you still have a home to stay in. All that other stuff is just material and can be replaced in time.

Dan,

Extremely sad news - especially around the holidays.
The most important thing is definitely that you are all safe and sound.

Hopefully out of all of this there will be some kind of silver lining - the good people like you always land on their feet!

I am terribly sorry and wish you the best!

and FWIW... this is on evilbay right now!

Dan, I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. ohmy.gif sad.gif As far as stress goes, it is said that three moves are equal to one fire (dwelling being completely burned). Even so, this is, I'm sure very stressful. Realizing this, it is important to remember what you still have (a healthy family, your dwelling, your life, your skills, and your many friends) and focus on the future success you will inevitably have. May God watch over you and yours, now and always. smile.gif cool.gif Sincerely, Walter
