Go to this site and scroll down to the "images", and check out the foregrip on this 28A1, which I'd guess was a Lend-Lease gun. I won't say anything more about it; check it out!

Cool! Looks as if someone spent a bit of time
with a triangle file....nice job and impressive look!
PhilOhio, I have to agree with you....that light gray (almost a "silver" Parkerizing is beautiful! What a classy look!
And a nice drum also (looks to be a Bridgeport, but my eyes aren't that good!)
Thanks Ron!

Someone else over here now has Savage 1928 serial no. S-74342 deact for sale but shape is not wonderful and woodwork is more recent. Also comes with an "X" drum, one 20 rd, one 30 rd and a sling. Selling for £1300, around $2400.
I will post images if someone tells me how.

I'm glad my little contributions spawn such scintillating, thoughtful discussions...wink! You do kinda wonder how that checkering was done on that foregrip, and why. I'll bet Dan (aka Deerslayer) would know, but he's likely rebuilding his shop.
