Well it was a long journey that started in Texas last April and finally ended in the People's Republic of Maryland last Saturday but our little Tommy is home at last.

Actually the little fellow arrived in Maryland in June but it was August before the state boys signed off on his adoption. After that it was the typical fun with the ATF which went like this:

August 23 - Paperwork mailed to ATF
September 1 - Check cleared
September 14 - Paperwork allegedly returned to dealer because photos were missing
November 15 - Call to ATF to check status and learned paperwork was returned.
November 16 - Contact dealer who had not received paperwork
Noveember 19 - Paperwork miraculously arrives in dealer's mail
November 22 - Paperwork resubmitted
December 1 - ATF examiner signs off
January 7 - Approved Form 4 miraculously arrives at dealer.

I know he's just a Westie but he's our first and we are very proud.

Many thanks to DC Chris for guiding through the morass of Maryland paperwork.

Here's a few pics:

A proud Papa you should be! Thanks much for the pics; spittin' image of the old man. I guess a 6 month "gestation period" isn't too bad for a newborn (Tommy that is). Seriously, a very nice looking piece. Can't wait to hear about the 1st burst.
