whilst trying to learn more of the internal works of the thompson. i stumbled across this rather quaint page. you might be interested to check it out. even though you guys probably are well aware of the mechanics or may have seen it.
hope you like it.

Sgt:

Thanks! That is a cool link. I especially like the movie action when the trigger is clicked. Humph. And all this time I sort it was just special magic that made it all work!

REALLY NEAT! I especially love the never-ending magazine of ammo! Wonder where I can pick one up?

That is a cool site. Hollyweard? I thought 10 rounds was the limit in the P.R. of Kommiefornia. Then again, Hollywood would be the place to find those 500 round 50 round drums, like the one they used in the beginning of Windtalkers biggrin.gif .

Well we may as well open up the never-ending mag can-o-worms here. Even in the new Kevin Costner film, "Open Range", in one gun battle (we're talking single-action Colt Peacemakers & such), Costner rattles off either 8 or 9 rounds without reloading. Rust, I think this stuff must be magic! Geez, do they think everyone in America can't count...don't answer that.

The movie I think best personafies the endless magazine is Arnold's "Commando." He must fire 10,000 rounds out of the few guns he brings on the island. Amazing!!!
