I seem to recall a drum marketed for the M1 Thompson by Gunmachines. It was a Valentine manufactured drum modified to work in the M1 Thompson. Anyone ever see one or have any info on them?

I have seen somewhere that you can add a feedtower (the sawed off top of a stick magazine) to a drum so it will work in a gun not cut for a drum. I have no idea who makes it.

To the best of my knowledge - in the past someone posted a photo of such a drum on this site. As I remember a piece of metal is welded to rear of the standard drum - the metal going up the slot where a mag goes. I have never seen one however and have never heard if they even work.

I'm not sure if this picture helps in any way, but here is one of the original Gunmachines ads for the M1/M1A1 50-Rd. drum. I remember the ad appeared in MGN many times, because I considered ordering one, but the price seemed so high back then. This ad is from the 9/94 issue.
