Semi Bolt Question

so there are two types of semi firing pins.
long pin and short pin.
the bolt is a little different for each one.
short pin is from earlier semi's.

anybody know if the earlier bolt with it's firing pin will function in a later gun?

Yes the older style bolts will work in the newer guns, all you need do is adjust the contact edge of the firing pin so that it properly engages the sear, and releases.
