Zamm, you've got the whole year to ease into this...different shots in different seasons...find out who can do what for you, etc.  I think a calendar like this would sell big time, not just among us Thompson perverts.  You might be able to turn a nice piece of change on it, and spin the idea out over several years.  That first pic was very creative.

The "Thompson Memories" calendar.

February - a valentine from Big Al

March - an alternative means of automobile recycling

April - tilling the Spring flower bed at 800 RPM

May - ridding the yard of moles

June - when kitties go astray

July - proud hunter with Thompson beside dead African elephant

September - a different kind of leaf blower

October - dealing with the neighbor's jack-o-lantern

November - dancing rabbits

December - deer hunting with Tommy (lateral string of holes on trophy)

Well Phil, since you left out January, let me suggest the, "new snowblower and automatic ice remover, otherwise known as, The Heater." http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif

A sepia tone calendar would be fantastic! Perhaps a scroll border graphic to give it a little antiquity.

Another novel idea would be to find what dates gone by correlate with say 2006. If lucky it may match somewhere in the 20's or 30's.

Count me in for 2!

No, no, lets think about this calender thing. Do you all want hot chicks in skimpy clothing in full color or in a 20's or 30's look? Or the military Thompson/ machineguns thing? Ok, I'll start another thread with a poll.

Mike,

Here's the deal,

I am going to do a portfolio of hand editioned copper plate engravings ( they are called "phpotogravures, and were the way that photos were reproduced late 1800's-early 1900's ) of our favorite Thompsons in really nice setups, like Chris's infamous violin case photo.

Then Limited Editions, numbered, the whole bit. These things will look so f*king cool, they will belong in museums.

I don't know why I did not think of this before. Okay, that's going to happen on my end regardless.

Now, onto the poll. I think you should start a thread with the calendar idea, though i think skimply clad XX cromosomes may win out http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif

Go to it, and watch inthe future for the Limited gravures, Z

Guys--

Zamm is way too modest for his reputation. He has worked with some highly notable artists and has quite a reputation for his gravure work. Grab them if you can!!!!

Zamm, love that Spaghetti survivor. It has real gravitas.

Mike, I will and you shall... Just has to be the right image.

Really counting on this guy at the NYCpolice museum giving me the go-ahead to "shoot", as in photograph,

the Colt w/ the C drum out of it's display case.

Good things on the way.
