I finally got all the paperwork sent in to register my M1 SA as a SBR last Tuesday. Now come the wait. I was wondering about the front sight. When it comes time to order a short barrel, do I need to order a new front sight, or can I use the one on it now. I was wondering this because of the longer length of the barrel. I was not sure if the front sight is a slightly different dimension because of the extra barrel length. I wanted to make sure I do not affect any kind of "accuracy" if the front sight is slightly different on a SA as opposed to a FA. Any info would help. Thanks
