I have a 1928 finned barrel with receiver stub attached. What is the best way to remove the barrel without scratching it all up? The receiver stub will be tossed after the barrel is removed. Thanks, Chopperjimmy

Hey Jimmy, There have been numerous discussions on this topic. A searh on the keywords 'barrell removal' which get you a long list. Probaly of most interest is the thread started by Mike Hammer on October 5, 2003. Bottom line is its not an easy task unless you have the right tools and then it can still be a job.
Good luck.
