I received an email from Sportsman Guide about the Thompson L Drums that were suppose to be shipped Sept. 15. They were backordered. Expected ship date is Oct. 15. Do you suppose they will be shipped then? Probably held up in Customs. We might never see them.

Lionhart - I'm not so sure. Hardrede is doing his best working the phones to D.C. trying make sure that we can't get these drums.

LIONHART,

As a valued board member, I always agree with you on your points (most the time), but it's my belief that these drum orders will never be filled and here's why:

1- They must be having a hard time getting them into the country or from the supplier or they would have them already.

or

2- They have them, but they figured-out that they sold them way to cheep (since they sold them all in such a short time) and they'll keep them in storeage for a couple years and really jack-up the price when they list them again. dry.gif

I've never had a good experence with trying to buy thing they weren't sure they could get!!!

Good Luck, unsure.gif

I haven`t seen any posting on this yet,but the ATF has just announced an extension of the import deadline from 9/11 to the end of this year...so maybe this will affect some of what is going on here... dry.gif

I didn't order in the first batch, those alleged to be for shipment in September. I did order several for the November time frame. Ordered tham a week or so ago I think. Today I get inthe regular mail a note that the order are out of stock and will be shipped soon.... in 75-90 days looks more like December if ever- but what the heck if it is a crapshoot- better than no opportunity at all at drums under a grand- the Kahr ones aren't too hot even after I had them worked on by a board member- runs 8 rounds and lay down.
