Andy:
Welcome to our forum; your English is just fine. There are many of us here that will help you.
If your Thomspon is an M1, it is a military, not a civilian model. The model number and serial number should be on the left side of the receiver.
If any of this insults your intelligence, it is not meant to. Your gun shows interesting marks.
Books on Thompsons (like yours): AMERICAN THUNDER. 2 books, both written by Frank Iannamico. All information you will need is probably in those books. You can order them from this website.
If you could post pictures of the gun, with close-ups of the marks, you will have answers quickly from our members. Keep in touch with us. Any Thompson is of interest.

i just came back from Cabo Verde island... .-(
so i think i will buy the 2 books about thommy.
for a quickly answer i try to post here some pics of the marks i have found on frame, receiver and stock of thommy...
hope we can help me to understand what they mean.
these 2 are on the front grip.
this on the top

and this on the bottom

and this is the buttstock

other marks:
GHD mark and flamming bomb

AOC mark and a symbol like a equilateral parallelogram

under the buttstock i have found this 4 marks
the S letter, a strange mark with i think the letter GEG but i cant see cause is a bad mark, then the letter M and E

Andy, the hole on the back of the receiver is used to push out the frame latch spring to remove or replace it. The markings look like the typical acceptance marks though I don't know what the diamond shape one is. I'm sure others on the board can write volumes on it for you..
Where did you get a Military M1? What are the laws like in ITaly, I assume you are allowed to own it. Can you shoot it? Does it have to be registered?
