Thanks for sharing that cartoon. It brought back some of my fondest memories from those carefree days of reading War Stories, Sgt. Rock, Combat, and Sgt Fury comic books from the 60s. I had a great time drawing those images and making up my own adventures. I am scheduled to teach a comic book illustration course this summer. I might like to use this in my powerpoint presentation.

I was remembering my comic book days a couple weeks ago and one of my favorite was where the seargent shoots an enemy plane down with his tommy gun, uses it like a baseball bat to send a grenade back to the japs and a couple other things. My old comic books actually happen to be in a box in my attic but I couldn't find the issue. Otherwise I was going to post the pictures.
