Model M1a2 Ss Tommy

Recommended Posts

I was reading about the prototype Stainless Steel M1's made at the Bridgeport plant in the 40's in Tracie Hill's book today. There were supposedly 6 made. Serial #002 is pictured in the book and is/was owned by William Douglas. Does any one know if any of the other 5 survived?

#001 is with Elvis (where ever he is.....)

#003 is in a crate next to the ark (see the final scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark)

#004 is at Area 51

#005 is in a top secret vault in George Washington's nose at Mount Rushmore

#006 is in my gun safe (I wish)
