Figured this old thread was the best place for my question.

A local curator, with Cox's book in hand, thinks he has a bayonet & scabbard for a 1923 Remington-Thompson.

So how does one tell the difference between one of them and a bog-standard 1898 Krag bayonet
?

Pics to follow, as soon as I go through the download process.

There is no documentation I have found to indicate that the bayonet fitted
to the Model 1923 is anything other than a standard 1898 Krag bayonet.
The 1923 Catalog describes the bayonet as having a 6" blade, but I believe that to be an error.

Some more recent pics of a Model of 1922? Taken 1/16/2004.

It is not a model 1922. I don't think it is an original Thompson.
