Well, an unopened box of shot shells I looked at the fall KCR shoot, reportedly sold for $800. I'm told the asking price for a decent shot mag is in the $500 range.
If these prices are "normal" then the seller's asking price is ballpark.
Maybe Gordon will announce a replica shot mag!
(It's more than I'd spend, but then, I acquired this stuff 25 years ago when it was affordable. I feel for people trying to find it these days.) FWIW

And to think, I gave a guy (on this board) an 18 shot mag as a gift!

I knew it was valuble, but I picked it up for CHEAP!

Around 2 years ago a person ran an ad in the shotgun news and sold 6 excellent to outstanding shotmags for around $75.00 each - I responded to the ad and found all went to a dealer whom I will not name - they were sold for $600. each. ( I know because I bought one)
I have not seen any in that condition for less than $600.

nice discussion but i have ended it; made the buy and glad to have it at this price. I just happen to have a few extra peters shot cartridges to complete this box.

Congrats! Just don't let what-his-name see it or we will have to hear about it for the next millenium....

Congrats on your acquisition. I believe that to be a fair price based on my recent observations.
