this pic i scanned is from a ww2 in photographs book i got from the imperial war museum in london. the scanned pic i have is enhanced and a lot bigger if anyone wishes me to email it to them.

Great pic, also featured in Frank's Book. I wonder how many arm loads of Thompsons the Sgt moved?

What is he doing?!?!?!? Is he crazy?!?!?!?
Trying to carry all those Thompsons like that and you can bet he is going to scratch one. He should be more careful.

He's not actually carrying them. Note his right foot is up on the bench. He's holding them lovingly as he gazes upon them with awe, and yes, respect for the "intense and deadly firepower" they possess. Indeed, the godlike mastery imbued to those who will wield these weapons in battle is not lost on this mere soldier.
