Steve, I sent an email directly to you. The paracadutisti tricomp requires a special barrel that leaves the barrel's muzzle protruding about 1/2" beyond the end of the gas lock. (I'll try again to get a pic with my explanation.) There are posts here from a few years back where guys have blown the tricomp off the barrel because they don't have the muzzle protruding and sealing with the QD tricomp. You may also get cycling problems by not having the gas cylinder aligned properly with the barrel gas port. MY barrel is a modified tanker barrel that I ran the gas lock threads back on with a 9/16" x32 tpi die, relocated the gas port hole and gas cylinder slots, so I could run the quick detach setup. I use a large paper clip that is bent up to locate the gas cylinder so that the barrel port is centered in the gas cylinder expansion chamber. My barrel is a home-made job, but your PB barrel should have the gas port centered with the gas cylinder as far back on the barrel as it will go, screwing the tricomp down to contact,(on my PB barrels the tricomp goes less than 1/2 turn past alignment for the gas plug), backing the tricomp off to align for the gas plug and tightening it very tight with a hex head wrench.
