  1. I have #237. I do not know if it would work in a gun as the front and back rails are so far out of spec that I cannot get it to even fit in a gun. the rails on the drum just do not line up with the slots in the receiver. go figure how it even left the factory like that.
  2. US Armament (Curt Wolfe), a vendor at knob creek and SAR West has had these for sale. they went for $1each at SAR 2019.
  3. I have decided to thin the heard so to speak and am going to sell three of my three digit Thompsons. I thought I would offer them here first. the guns will transfer to your dealer on an e-form 3. my last transfer (2 weeks ago) cleared in less than a week. 1. gun 540. a 21a from the Boston Police Department. Original barrel numbered to the gun. 75-80% original blue, but has scratches and handling marks. left side looks nice, right side looks like a typical pd gun. Stock has military swing swivel and is engraved BPD 540. Pistol Grip is engraved T1.All colt parts and all colt wood. Price is 46k. 2. gun 353. a 21ac from the Connecticut State Police. Original barrel numbered to the gun. no pd marks on the gun or the wood. Basically similar condition to 540, but fewer scratches and less wear. all colt parts and wood, except the sight on the compensator is military. price is 46k. 3. gun 986. a 21ac from the C&O Railroad.I am pretty sure that the barrel is numbered to the gun, but will take the barrel off and confirm as a condition of sale. I bought this gun from Amoskeag and the auction materials indicated that the barrel is numbered to the gun, but I have not checked like I did for 540 and 353. Much nicer condition that than 353 and 540. 90% original blue and just a few scratches on the right side and some light wear on the rear of the upper and lower receivers. all colt parts and wood. price is 51k. All guns are available for inspection prior to purchase. email is the best way to reach me. dlansky1921@gmail.com or pm me through the boards, but, if you PM, I can not respond until I get home from the office since my company periodically blocks the gun boards. Thank you David for the boards.
  4. if the purchaser of one of the Boston PD marked cases is looking for a Boston PD marked 21A (#540) to go in the case, please pm me.
  5. Reuben is top notch, as is David Spiwak, Ohio Ordnance and Nick T. I have bought guns from all four. reputable and smooth transactions. Have not dealt with Frank at Midwest, but others here have. I will not deal with autoweapons again. there are plenty of posts on autoweapons and why members here will not deal with them. while the prior owner is now in prison, i do not think anything has changed there.
  6. I have 21's (a and ac) and 28's available. if truly interested, PM me.
  7. Jerry is a sophisticated seller. he knows how to take pictures of a drum. he has a New York L drum for sale right now as well and included a full set of pictures and a much more detailed description of the drum. here is the post: https://www.gunbroker.com/item/856915923 Unless shown otherwise, you should assume there is a reason the C Drum is not fully pictured and more fully described. my 2 cents
  8. this is an Arizona corporation in good standing. the owner is: President/CEO THEO HARKER 905 W BROADWAY, MESA, AZ, 85210, USA
  9. I looked at this gun last year when it was being sold by an estate here in Arizona. the front wood was suspect. the pistol grip was engraved with OPD, but did not fit the gun properly. perhaps it was from a different OPD gun. the internals were not Colt. There were a lot of handling marks/scratches. At the time, it was packaged with an original FBI case, 4 patent mags, a no No. drum, a gordon repro cleaning rod and a gordon repro spare parts tin. The asking price was 40. The case and no No drum were nice, but the condition of the gun and lack of correct parts coupled with little flexibility on the price just led me to pass. I did not buy it but months later spoke with the local dealer who did. I believe he paid in the high 20's/low 30's for the package. he was looking for the correct internals so he could complete the gun. perhaps he did, is keeping the accessories and now selling the gun.
  10. Specializes in S&W wheel guns, but has extensive Thompson experience. has worked on several of my guns, has all of Doug's tools and has repaired numerous west hurleys.
  11. On behalf of an elderly collector, offered for sale is a military Colt Thompson. The upper receiver is marked US Navy--Model of 1928A1. it is serial number 3873. all parts on the upper receiver are Colt, including the barrel, a type 2 compensator and the wood. the wood is Colt military wood and is heftier than the Colt Navy horizontal foregrips and the Savage horizontal military foregrips. Gordon's book shows the upper going to San Quentin prison and later the Champlin Fighter Museum and possibly a 1928A1 prototype. Gordon's book shows 3874, 3875 and 3876 all going to the Marines. The lower is numbered 7601. According to Gordon's latest book, this is the lower for an unaccounted for Marine Contract Purchase Thompson. the upper receiver internals are all military--bolt, blish, spring and buffer/pilot. the internal parts in the lower appear to be Colt--I did not disassemble--with a number of them being in the white. The rocker though is most likely military. the buttstock is military. it is unnumbered, but the butt plate is a military buttplate and is numbered. the butt stock has a brass medallion marked Emergency 2 .45 Cal. the pistol grip is military. it is stamped "M". The gun has been test fired and runs nicely. it is in the condition you would expect for a military gun. Some representative pictures are posted. I can email others to interested buyers. the gun comes with a 20 round mag and an original marked No Buckle sling. The gun will transfer to your dealer tax free on a form 3 by e-file . the price is $25,000 and includes shipping. this is a great opportunity to buy a gun with history that you can shoot without depreciating for a very good price. please send me PM with any questions. thank you for looking.
